Table Top Exercises (TTX)
TTX3 – June 4, 2025
Follow-up summary
A more comprehensive review of TTX3 will be provided by Recorder Michael Tomlinson at a later date.
Resident and career fire captain David Dumas led our third TTX in a very productive session attended by 21 ICS members with good representation from each of the four units, the Radio Team, Safety Captains and the LWC BoD.
David walked us through the ICS process from initiating an incident to developing the After Action Report. The checklists and materials the units had developed for the session are being refined to reflect feedback from participants regarding specific protocols, procedures and resources. These documents will be posted on the TTX webpage when the Incident Commander signs off on them. (Link to full report)

From Table Top Exercise (TTX) to Incident Command System (ICS)
We appreciate the folks who followed up on a variety of issues stemming from our February 26th TTX and our March 1st Safety Committee meeting.
- Bill Albright updated the “Who’s Your Safety Captain?” list
- Mike Tomlinson updated the Safety Area Map.
- Bill also updated the Safety Captain’s Manual to reflect changes in our resident directory.
- A team led by Molly Dumas and Bill modified the FEMA National Incident Command System (ICS) Protocol to fit the needs of our community and defined in greater detail the role of a Safety Captain.
- Our radio team revised the Community Radio Service (CRS) Protocol
- With the exception of the Safety Captain’s Manual which contains confidential information, these documents are on our website under TTX resources (below)

Notes of Table Top Exercise #2
2/26/25
Thanks to all (20) who participated in our 2nd TTX exercise facilitated by resident and career fire fighter Dave Dumas. It was a robust, substantive and highly productive session.
The February 23rd (6) hour power outage provided additional “energy” for our already highly motivated group and its timing was excellent, not only for the TTX, but for our March 1st Safety Committee meeting where we continued our debriefing.
